1. Who we are and what this covers

Work Creates the Reward (the "Service") is owned and operated by Golf Company Ventures LLC ("we," "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

• Parent account details: name, email address, sign-in method, family name and settings.
• Child profile details a parent provides: first name or nickname, username, age, interests and goals.
• Family activity: activities, submissions, notes, photos, points, rewards, wish lists, reviews and notifications created in the Service.
• Billing: handled by our payment processor. We receive subscription status and limited details, never your full card number.
• Messages: anything you send through our contact form.
• Technical data: device and browser type, pages visited, an anonymous visitor ID and basic usage events, plus information stored on your device to keep you signed in and to hold work saved offline.

3. Children's privacy

The Service is designed for parents. Children may only use it through an account created and controlled by their parent or guardian, who provides consent for the collection and use of the child's information described here. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child without that parental consent.

• We collect only what is reasonably needed for the child to take part (for example, name, username and the work they record).
• Children's information is not shown publicly. Within the app, it is visible only to members of that family.
• Parents can review, change or delete their child's information in the app, or ask us to delete it through our contact form, and can stop further collection by removing the child's profile.

If you believe a child has given us information without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.

4. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, secure and improve the Service.
• To process memberships, trials and payments.
• To send account, security, billing and service messages.
• To respond to your messages and requests.
• To generate AI drafts when a parent asks for one. The text you enter is sent to our AI provider only to create that draft.
• To understand how the website is used, in aggregate.
• To comply with law and to enforce our Terms and protect our rights.

5. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting, database, email, payment and AI providers), under obligations to protect it.
• Within your family account, according to the roles and permissions you set.
• If required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety, rights or property of any person or of Golf Company Ventures LLC.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, private photo storage and family-level access rules. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of any information. You use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your login details safe.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. The point ledger is permanent by design while the account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable time, except where we must keep it by law.

8. Your choices and rights

You can view and update most information in the app. You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or close your account, through our contact form by choosing "Privacy or data request." Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them as required. We may need to verify your identity first.

You can clear information saved on your device through your browser settings, but work saved offline that has not synced will be lost.

9. Where information is processed

We are based in the United States and information is processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service you agree to this transfer.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy by posting a new version with a new effective date. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let parents know. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
